Cannot begin to say enough good things about this weekend. Friday night I got to see two of my favorite baltimore bands play back to back, Wye Oak and Small Sur. Wye Oak played some new songs which were just too good and I finally got to see Small Sur play more than 4 songs. If you havent heard of either of these groups check out “we live in houses made of wood” by small sur and “if children” by wye oak. Saturday night I got to see one of my best friends Matt (Wood Goold) who i I recently went on tour with play in Philly at the Fire with Hop Along Queen Ansleis. It was the record release show for River City Extension and I was blown away. I havent seen a band blend different genres like that in a long time. Today, we had band practice and are re working some older songs which i am finally feeling like they are being played to their full potential. We have a few new songs in the works and three shows in February. Should be a good time.
this picture is what it looks like when your friend is playing a show and doesn’t invite you up on stage to sing the last song with him.
